Srinagar, Jun 22: A driver was injured when a naka party of Army opened fire after he drove past a check post in south Kashmir district of Pulwama late Friday night, official sources said on Saturday.
They said a naka was established by Army at Romrishi nallah bridge at Wahibugh in Pulwama last night. However, an autorickshaw was signaled to stop by the naka party, they said adding security forces opened fire when he ignored the signal and drove past the check post.
The driver Mohammad Shafi Ganie, a local resident, received a bullet injury in his hand after security forces opened fire. The injured was rushed to local hospital from where he was referred to Bone and Joint hospital, Barzulla in Srinagar.
