Srinagar, Jul 2: As many as 85 Sub-Inspectors from Jammu and Kashmir Police department were promoted to the next level.
A police spokesperson said that Director General of Police (DGP) Dilbag Singh issued promotion order in respect of 85 Sub-Inspectors to the rank of Inspectors. “Departmental Promotion Committee (DPC) on Tuesday met regarding grant of promotion to the Police Personnel of Executive and Armed,” he said.
He said after thorough scrutiny of the service records, promotion in respect of 85 Sub-Inspector to the rank of Inspectors has been ordered.
The DGP has congratulated the promoted personnel and their family members. He has express his hope that the promotion will serve as an inspiration for the personnel to perform their duties in higher ranks with enhanced dedication and zeal.
The spokesperson said that the Police Headquarters (PHQ) has been providing career progression opportunities to all ranks in the force and during the year 2018-19. “9388 personnel have been promoted to higher ranks. Besides 4024 insitu promotions have been ordered by PHQ,” he added.
