Srinagar, Jul 3: An 18-year-old girl was found dead under suspicious circumstances in an orchard in south Kashmir district of Anantnag.
Official sources said that panic gripped Baapora area in Qazigund, Anantnag, when some locals saw body of the girl hanging from a tree in an orchard. “The locals immediately informed the police,” they said, adding a team was rushed to the area and the body was taken away.
The deceased was later identified as Nazia Akhtar, a resident of Baapora, Qazigund. “After completing all the legal and medical formilities, the body of the deceased will be handed over to her relatives for last rites.
They said police has registered a case and initiated investigation into the incident.
