Srinagar, Jul 13: Two drug peddlers were arrested and charas was recovered on Saturday in Srinagar, a police spokesman said here this evening.
He said police on a tip off established a naka checking and arrested one Ayaz Ahmad Dar, a resident of Kursoo Rajbagh after charas was recovered from his possession.
Later on his disclosure, another lady drug peddler Nigeena wife of Late Ghulam Mohammad Sheikh resident of Samoon colony was arrested and Charas was recovered from her residential house.
Community members are requested to come forward with any information regarding drug peddlers in their neighbourhood. Persons found indulging in drug peddling will be dealt as per law.
Our consistent actions against drug peddlers should reassure the community members that we are making efforts to keep our society free from the scourge of drug menace.
