Srinagar, Jul 23: Body of a man was on Tuesday found under suspicious circumstances in south Kashmir district of Anantnag.
Official sources said that panic gripped Bijbehara when some locals saw body of a man lying in orchard on Tuesday. “The locals immediately informed the police,” they said, adding a team was rushed to the area and the body was taken away.
They said the deceased was later identified as Nazir Ahmad Bhat, a farmer. “Police has registered a case and initiated investigation to ascertain the cause of the death,” they said.
After completing all the legal and medical formalities, the body of the deceased was handed over to his relatives for last rites.
