Srinagar, Aug 1: Jammu and Kashmir police busted a gang of burglars and arrested five thieves and recovered stolen car, motorcycles and other articles in the central Kashmir district of Badgam, a police spokesman said on Thursday.
He said people in Badgam district reported eight burglary cases during the past few months. Special teams were constituted and investigation taken up, he said adding five burglars were arrested.
Later on their disclosure police recovered large quantity of stolen items, including one Maruti car, five motorcycles, mobile phones and provisional items besides Rs 6 lakh.
Further investigation was going on, he said.
