COVID-19 Lockdown: 29 Persons Booked for violating prohibitory orders, 13 vehicles seized in Shopian
Srinagar, May 03: Police on sunday arrested at least twenty nine persons and seized over dozen vehicles for violating prohibitory orders in south Kashmir’s Shopian district, A police statement issued here said.
“Continuing its drive against the Violators of Lockdown, Police Shopian booked twenty nine persons found violating the Lockdown guidelines and also seized thirteen vehicles found plying without valid passes throughout distt Shopian,” the statement said.
“Case FIR no 90/2020 u/s 188, 269 IPC P/S Shopian, FIR no 34/2020 , FIR no. 35/2020 u/s 188,269 IPC of P/S Imamsahib stands registered and investigations taken up,” the statement said
“SSP Shopian sought cooperation of general public for effective implementation of Lockdown plan and requested general public to remain indoors in view of the emergence of continuing Covid-19 positive cases in distt Shopian”. The statement added.
