Chief Secretary Mr B.V.R Subramanian kick started the Youm Block (Block Diwas) from District Budgam by inaugurating its first phase at Kanihama Narbal Today In an impressive function organized in the lawns of CFC Kanihama.The Chief Secretary on the occasion was accompanied by DDC Budgam, SSP Budgam, ACD and other concerned District and Sectoral heads.
Speaking on the occasion the Chief Secretary said that the aim and objective of observing this diwas is to reach out to the common people with various Govt. initiatives presently in offing relating to different developmental/welfare sectors .In addition Block Diwas will provide administration teams an opportunity to take appraisal of local issues from the BDC chairpersons, Sarpanchs , Panchs and general public. All administration teams assigned to attend the engagements have been instructed to give a patient hearing and ensure maximum issues shall be redressed on spot with the intervention of the concerned departmental functionaries.
The Chief Secretary on the occasion inquired about the status of pendency of Domicile and income certificates and simultaneous issuance of the same ,directed for early issuance without unnecessary delay or hiccups within time frame. On the issuance of PM Kisan Chief Secretary categorically instructed that problems relating to early disposal of the cases shall be disposed off at an earliest, as this scheme touches the aspirations and provides monetary benefit to the farmers when they require it most .Chief Secretary expressed satisfaction for achieving 100% saturation of KCC cases, he said no applicant shall be asked for guarantor for any Govt sponsored schemes. Chief Secretary instructed all concerned banks that no laxcity or any leniency shall be acceptable while sanctioning the cases relating to socio economic upliftment of the society. On the issues relating to power supply, water supply, CAPD, Social Welfare, Health, the Chief Secretary reiterated every effort will be made to ensure that supplies relating to basic needs shall remain available in sufficient quantity. The power supply in the area will get further boost as additional 50MVA grid r will be installed at Ahmedpora Grid Station.
Chief Secretary urged upon the people to take advantages of Ayushman Bharat health schemes as it envisaged better health care prospects particularly poor and under privileged class. The DDC during his visit to kanihama distributed certificates and sport kits among the beneficiaries
Earlier in a similar function organized in the lawns of Govt Hr sec School Budgam that was inaugurated by DDC Budgam accompanied by SSP, BDC Chairperson Mr. Gh Hassan Khan, ADC and other concerned officers.
As many as 17 departments including Revenue, Health, Education ,Jal Shakti ,RDD, Agriculture ,Horticulture, Social Welfare, Animal and Sheep Husbandry ,ICDS,J&K Bank ,Employment and Labour ,CAPD, ARTO, Forest, Handicrafts and Handloom ,Fisheries ,District Industries Center etc had established their stalls depicting and demonstrating various kind of hand made products ,equipment and other tools relating to farming and Horticulture cultivation and awareness about the schemes and other employment generating aspects awareness about schemes related to Sheep and Dairy Farming ,KCC inclusion ,Fish farming establishing of MSME through industries and allied departments. Each department apart from demonstration facilitated on spot acceptance of cases related under their authority some were on spot sanctioned, remaining requiring more documentary procedures for onward sanctioning will also fallow on priority.
Speaking on the occasion the DDC appreciated the participation of all concerned departments as despite other engagements particularly during ongoing Jan Abhiyan period made it possible to be present with all required logistics and other awareness material.
DDC during proceedings distributed the beneficiary cheques and sanction letters among beneficiaries sponsored by Department of Social Welfare and ICDS, Horticulture, Agriculture, Deptt. Of RDD , Employment and Labour. Remaining cheques and sanction letters were distributed by BDC Chairman Mr. Gh Hassan Kahn in presence of ADC Mr. Nasir Ahmad Lone.
