DC B’la visits Famous Shrine of Janbaz Wali (RA), Took Stock of upcoming Urs Arrangements

Baramulla, November 01: Deputy Commissioner Baramulla Dr G N Itoo accompanied by various concerned officers today paid visit to the famous shrine of Syed Janbaz Wali (RA) where he took stock of upcoming Urs arrangements.

The shrine of Syed Janbaz Wali (RA) is the most revered shrine in the whole north Kashmir which is situated on the bank of river Jhelum at Khanpora Baramulla. This year the Urs shall be celebrated on 10th of November, preceded by Shab-e-Khawni. On Friday following, the glimpse of some holy relics associated with the Saint shall be organized. A large congregation of devotees from the adjoining areas is expected to throng the shrine.

On the occasion, the DC paid obeisance and prayed for the peace, prosperity and progress of the J&K in general and for the Baramulla in particular. The DC also met the concerned auqaf committee members who appraised him about their issues and demands pertaining to the smooth conduct of festive occasion.

DC assured that administration will made adequate arrangements especially uninterrupted water and power supply, cleanliness etc so that the devotees many not face any inconvenience. He also onspot issued directions to the accompanying officers to ensure all the arrangements are made well in advance.

Meanwhile, DC urged for following the COVID-19 advisories and stressed for maintaining social distancing and using face masks. DC also deliberated for not allowing any kind of large public gathering at the venue.
