Mumkin: 06 commercial vehicles distributed among youth at Shopain by DE&CC
Mumkin proving impactful by providing livelihood opportunities to unemployed: DC
Shopian, September, 12, 2022:
To facilitate un- employed youth towards undertaking honorable livelihood in the transport sector, 06 commercial vehicles were today distributed among unemployed youth of the district under Mumkin scheme, here at Mini-Secretariat Shopian.
Deputy Commissioner (DC) Shopian, Sachin Kumar Vaishya presided over the distribution function, which was organised by District Employment and Councelling Centre, Shopian.
Deputy Commissioner handed over keys to the beneficiaries in presence of Assistant Director, DE&CC, Shopian Hafsa Qayoom and other officers, officials, civil society members and beneficiaries.
Under Mission Youth, Government is providing ample opportunities for livelihood development in transport sector to unemployed youth of Jammu and Kashmir.
AD, DE&CC,on the occasion desired that more and more youth should avail benefits under the scheme in which small commercial vehicles are provided to the unemployed youth at subsided rates.
Mumkin Scheme aims to move towards creation of a better socio-economic ecosystem by providing self-employment opportunities and elimination of poverty among the youth.
DC urged the beneficiaries to work with full dedication and enthusiasm which shall eventually go a long way in their socio-economic upliftment and said that the Mumkin is proving impactful by providing likelihood benefits to the unemployed.
He urged the unemployed youth of Shopian to get themselves registered with the Department in order to avail the benefits under various Employment generation schemes meant for the upliftment of the youth.
