Empowering Electoral Participation: GDC Pampore’s Electoral Literacy Club Conducts Mock Drill of Polling Booth
Pulwama, April 24: – As part of the ongoing Special Voter Enrollment and Electoral Participation (SVEEP) campaign, the Electoral Literacy Club at Government Degree College (GDC) Pampore organized a vibrant “Mock Drill of Polling Booth” today under the leadership of Principal Prof. Huda Galzai in the College Multipurpose Hall. The event was designed to engage both staff and students in the electoral process.
Convened by Prof. Arifat Jan, HOD of Political Science and the Club’s Convenor, the Mock Drill exemplified the college’s commitment to fostering electoral literacy and civic engagement. Prof. Manzoor Ahmad, HOD Economics and Club Member, enthusiastically demonstrated the voting process, empowering students with practical knowledge on participation in democratic elections.
The event witnessed an impressive turnout of students and faculty, underscoring the collective enthusiasm for electoral education and democratic values.
The District Election Officer (DEO) Dr. Basharat Qayoom ( IAS) extended appreciations to GDC Pampore for their proactive involvement in promoting electoral awareness and participation.
