ADC Shopian convenes SDLC Meeting to review FRA cases
Shopian, Jan, 02: Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Shopian, Dr. Zakir Hussain Faaz who is also the Chairman of the Sub-Divisional Level Committee (SDLC), today convened a meeting to review cases under the Forest Rights Act (FRA) at the Mini Secretariat, Shopian.
The meeting was held to deliberate upon and scrutinize FRA-related cases in a coordinated manner to ensure timely and transparent disposal as per laid-down guidelines.
Officers from the Revenue, Forest, Wildlife and Rural Development Departments participated in the meeting and shared inputs relevant to their jurisdictions.
ADC emphasized inter-departmental coordination and directed the concerned officers to furnish requisite records and inputs promptly so that genuine FRA claims are processed efficiently.
Stress was laid on adherence to rules, verification on ground and expeditious resolution of pending cases.
DFO,Wildlife Warden,Executive Engineer, Jal Shakti, BDO, Shopian and other concerned were present in the meeting.
