Nasha Mukt J&K Abhiyan Awareness Programme Held at HSS Zainapora

 

Shopian, Mar 12: An Information, Education & Communication (IEC) programme under the Nasha Mukt Jammu and Kashmir Abhiyan was successfully organised at Higher Secondary School Zainapora with the aim of spreading awareness about the harmful effects of drug abuse among youth.

 

The programme witnessed the presence of several senior officials including the District Information Officer (DIO) Shopian, Chief Education Officer (CEO) Shopian, SDM Zainapora and SHO Zainapora, who addressed the gathering and stressed the importance of collective efforts to eradicate the menace of drugs from society.

 

During the event, speakers highlighted the serious social and health consequences of substance abuse and urged students to stay away from drugs and play an active role in building a drug-free society.

 

A large number of youngsters, including boys and girls from the school, actively participated in the programme and pledged their support towards making Jammu and Kashmir a drug-free region.

 

The initiative was widely appreciated by the participants and locals, who termed such awareness programmes essential for safeguarding the future of the younger generation.
