Independence Day takes me back to my school days when we used to wear crisp white uniform for flag hoisting ceremony. Since I have an army background, we would always celebrate Independence Day at school with a lot of enthusiasm and fervor. Happy Independence Day! Jai Hind

During school days, on Independence Day all the students used to get together for flag hoisting, sing the national anthem and wear tricolor uniforms. As I grew up, I realized the meaning of Independence in its true sense and how we need to value it at every step. I would like to wish all my fans a Happy Independence Day and urge them to be safe and contribute towards making this country a better place.

Independence Day is the day when the entire nation basks in the glory of freedom and feels proud of being a part of this, culturally rich, country. I remember singing patriotic songs in school to celebrate Independence Day. Freedom in the mind, faith in the words, pride in our souls, let’s salute the great men who fought for our well-being. Happy Independence Day.

On Independence Day I love to watch stories that cover the generations who had worked tirelessly to give us freedom of thought, speech and expression. Independence to me is a way of life and I love being a free-spirited person. My only message to my fans is to revel in the spirit of freedom and enjoy life to the fullest.

I am proud to be an Indian and I salute all those who have fought for our freedom. As the responsible citizens of this country, we must dutifully exercise all the rights and work towards the well-being and progression of our country. On this Independence Day, let us celebrate and enjoy the freedom to live cheerfully, hopefully, and peacefully. Jai Hind!
Jasmin Bhasin as Teni in Dil Se Dil Tak
For me, it is the freedom of choice and making decisions that are of utmost importance. As a nation, we have progressed but we need to work as individuals towards taking a stand for things that are wrong or unjustified. My memories of Independence Day is, as a kid when we used to sing patriotic songs and celebrate the day. May our country progress and give us many such iconic days to celebrate. Happy Independence Day!
