Srinagar, Sep 12 : The health officials on Wednesday attached a lady doctor and filed a complaint against a man, who had uploaded a video on social media alleging negligence by the doctor in treating her pregnant wife.
Official sources told Global News Service (GNS) that acting on the directions of Chief Medical Officer (CMO), lady doctor Dr Shaheena Katoo was attached with CMO office in Anantnag district.
“The lady doctor has been attached. We are investigating the allegations leveled against her,” CMO Anantnag, Dr Fazil Kochak told GNS.
Meanwhile, Block Medical Officer (BMO) has filed a complaint with police against the man who had uploaded the video on social media alleging harassment by the lady doctor after denied money for operating upon his pregnant wife.
“BMO has filed a complaint against the man who failed to turn up with his wife at the hospital on August 29, as he was advised in advance,” Kochak said.
However, Bilal Ahmad Khanday claimed that he was being victimized for exposing the lady doctor. He said that health officials were trying to shield the accused lady doctor.
“Why don’t health officials take action against lady doctor who termed my baby dead without examining my pregnant wife and for duping gullible patients?” Khanday asked. (GNS)
