J&K Police, District Administration Shopian Organise Tiranga Rally in Collaboration
Shopian Aug 12: In the run-up to Independence Day 2026, J&K Police Shopian, in collaboration with the District Administration Shopian, organised a Mega Tiranga Rally to promote patriotism, national unity, communal harmony and pride in the national flag.
The rally commenced from Sports Stadium Sindoo Shirmal and culminated at Algar Fruit Mandi, witnessing participation of thousands of people, including school students, civil society members, J&K Police personnel, security forces, government employees and citizens from different walks of life.
Participants proudly carried the Tricolour throughout the rally and raised patriotic slogans, creating an atmosphere of national pride, unity and enthusiasm. The large participation reflected the collective spirit of the people of Shopian and their commitment to the values of freedom, unity and service to the nation.
The rally showcased the vibrant spirit of the youth and the community, with thousands of students and citizens coming together to celebrate the national flag and express their respect and affection for the nation.
On the occasion, officers highlighted the significance of the Tiranga as a symbol of unity, freedom, dignity and justice and called upon citizens, particularly the youth, to uphold these values and contribute towards building a peaceful, progressive and harmonious society.
J&K Police Shopian and the District Administration reiterated their commitment to promoting patriotism, public participation, harmony and community engagement and appealed to citizens to participate enthusiastically in the upcoming Independence Day celebrations.
