Omar expresses grief over demise of Sheila Dikshit, says she did wonders for Delhi
Srinagar, Jul 20: Expressing grief over the demise of former Delhi chief minister Sheila Dikshit, National Conference (NC) Vice President Omar Abdullah said that she did wonders for Delhi and will be greatly missed by all those who knew her.
I’ve always known her as a very warm & affectionate lady, Mr Abdullah, who is the former chief minister of J&K, said.
“Just heard about the tragic demise of Sheila Dikshit. What terrible terrible news. I’ve always known her as a very warm & affectionate lady. She did wonders for Delhi as CM & will be greatly missed by all who knew her. May her soul rest in peace,” Mr Abdullah wrote on micro-blogging site twitter.
Mrs Dikshit, who was a senior Congress leader, passed away on Saturday Fortis Escorts Heart Institute. She was admitted to the hospital on Saturday morning in a critical state due to a cardiac problem.
