Govt working towards JK’s planned, systematic development: Kohli

JAMMU: Minister for Animal, Sheep Husbandry and Fisheries, Abdul Ghani Kohli today reiterated that the present government is working towards planned and systematic development of the state and several initiatives are being taken in this regard and people will sure see the positive change on ground.

The Minister was speaking during a grievance redressal camp attended by a large number of people at Agarati village in Kalakote Constituency. The Minister said that government has a clear agenda to ensure all round development of all pockets with special focus on essential sectors like road connectivity, health, drinking water, electricity, education, which he said are key to the prosperity and progress of the society.

“Centre is providing liberal funding for developmental activities in the State and various developmental projects are underway in the State which includes a network of roads and tunnels”, the Minister added.

On the occasion, people of the area also put forth their issues and demands. The Minister after listening them assured that their genuine issue will be resolved and will be looked into. He said that the infrastructure development is the top priority of the Government and efforts are on to improve the socio-economic profile of the people.

Earlier, the Minster convened a meeting with the officers of Municipal Committee, Kalakote and reviewed the pace of progress of various developmental works under execution in the area falling under the jurisdiction of MC.

Director, Local Bodies Jammu briefed the meeting about the works carried by the Municipal Committee for over all development of the Constituency.

Addressing the meeting, the Minister directed the concerned officials to work with utmost dedication and speed up the pace of work on all ongoing developmental works and complete them in a stipulated time frame. He also asked them to utilize the available funds judiciously.
