Syed Asgar Ali resigns from PDP, says ‘parachute leaders’ hijacked party
>>> In another setback to Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Chenab Valley region of Jammu, Syed Asgar Ali, former MLC and member of the party’s high power political affairs committee today resigned from basic membership of the party.
Addressing the media, Ali said: “I feel the party has betrayed the people of Chenab valley, who had pinned high hopes in the leadership and saw it as a viable alternative.”
He said the party was hijacked by the “parachute leaders and sycophants” after the demise of Mufti Sayeed.
